TOP 500 Bordeaux Wines from 2015 Vintage
Tastingbook.com, the world's largest wine information service and a renowned industry authority, tasted all the best Bordeaux 2015 vintage wines at last week's Primeur-tasting and here is the first public TOP 500 list of them.
HELSINKI, April 13, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The Primeur Week in Bordeaux ended just a few days ago. www.tastingbook.com 's professionals tasted during those intense days around 6000 samples of the best wines from 2015 Vintage.
The wines were generally almost as good as the wines from great vintages 2010, 2009 and 2005. The 2015 Vintage is the best since 2015 and one of the legends of 2000's.
"In 2015 the region played a major role, terroir was the key to success," says Tastingbook's Pro, Markus Del Monego MW. "Saint-Emilion performed extremely well as there was water available during the hot summer days and drainage proved to be ideal during rainy August. In Pomerol it looked the same with very successful wines from the central plateau and more heterogeneous qualities from the areas around, also Pessac-Leognan did extremely well in this vintage with a homogenous quality."
"The 2015 vintage does not rival 2010, nor 2005 either. 2000, 2001 and 2014 in parts seems to be somewhere to put it, and 1985 has come to mind several times over with the pure fresh elegance and charm," says Tastingbook's Pro, Christer Byklund AIWS.
