ToolsGroup releases iPad app for its Demand Collaboration Hub

BOSTON, July 30, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- ToolsGroup, a leading provider of Powerfully Simple Solutions for Demand Analytics and Supply Chain Planning, has released a Demand Collaboration Hub (DCH) app for the iPad and iPad Mini (IOS 3.2 and higher).

iPad users can now contribute to and access current forecast information from anywhere, at any time, thereby improving forecast process productivity even for large, global and complex organizations.

DCH is ToolsGroup's web platform that supports collaborative forecasting to complement various planning software applications by allowing demand data to be pooled from multiple sources. It integrates demand data from both internal (marketing, sales, etc.) and external (business partners, wholesalers or retailers) sources, resulting in a forecast that can be augmented, viewed or modified at any level of detail.

DCH is unique in its ability to evaluate each source's forecast accuracy using an objective method that gives more weight to more reliable demand sources. This improves forecast accuracy and quality, makes it easier to create collaborative, consensus-based forecasts, facilitates demand-driven replenishment, and supports SI&OP (Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning) and other integrated planning approaches.

DCH is a native web application compatible with many operating systems (Windows, MacOS, Linux) and browsers (IE, Firefox, Chrome, Safari).

There are currently more than 300 users of DCH in a variety of industries.

DCH complements ToolsGroup's Service Optimizer 99+ (SO99+) suite. SO99+ imports consensus forecasts directly from DCH enabling planners to continue with the rest of the planning cycle.
