TonyView Launches Patented Structural Corner Window System That Redefines Interior Architecture

SAN DIEGO, Oct. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- TonyView today announced the launch of its patented structural corner window system, a breakthrough architectural solution that allows designers to replace traditional solid building corners with glass while maintaining full structural performance and integrating directly into conventional residential framing. For architects, builders, and homeowners, the result is transformative: enabling panoramic views without the need for cantilevered beams, while remaining compatible with any manufacturer's doors and windows. By replacing the traditional solid corner with a TonyView system, the result is the dramatic sense of openness, particularly when paired with adjacent doors and windows. This creates a surprisingly powerful visual effect, even though the structural corner is replaced by just a 9-inch horizontal glass opening.

While corner glazing has long been a sought-after feature in modern architecture, traditional solutions typically require costly cantilevered structural systems and complex engineering. TonyView's engineered window assembly solves this challenge by redistributing structural loads through a welded stainless steel structural sub-frame, enabling clean, post-free glass corners capable of supporting up to three floors of building load (up to 26 kips).

The system incorporates a 304 stainless steel structural framework, a high performance PVC thermal break glazing cassette, and laminated structural glass, yielding a high-performance system that exceeded Miami-Dade hurricane testing standards, with frame deflection measured at just 0.01 inches, compared to the ½-inch allowable standard while achieving zero air and water infiltration.

A Breakthrough Rooted in Real-World Experience

TonyView originated from a real-world problem.

During COVID, the product's inventor, a longtime contractor, began rethinking a corner in his own home that blocked an otherwise expansive view. With decades of structural experience, he sketched out an idea that worked with the existing conventional framing and sent it to his structural engineer for sizing. The prototype was fabricated in a few weeks and installed by his crew in a single day. Tony wasn't able to stay for the installation, as he was called away to his day job.

"I was excited to get home that night," said Tony Madureira, Founder of TonyView. "I first walked to the backyard and thought it had a nice clean sophisticated look, so at least it wasn't a bust, it blended nicely. I went through my kitchen and entered the family room where it was installed. And right there and then I had what I call my 'Wow' moment. That horizontal 9" sliver of glass opening with my door set made me feel like I was in a glass enclosure. It was a surreal moment."

That 'Wow' moment led him to begin researching whether anything like it already existed. After finding no comparable solutions, he worked with a patent attorney to conduct a comprehensive search. Two and a half years later, the result was multiple issued and pending patents protecting the TonyView system from direct competition for the duration of its patent terms.

Engineered for Modern Construction

TonyView's system was designed to deliver architectural impact with real-world constructability.

Unlike traditional corner glazing systems, which often require complex structural modifications, TonyView integrates into conventional framing for both new construction and retrofit applications. And with its UES certifications it adopts right into your building plans just like it was a piece of Simpson Hardware.

As modern architecture continues to emphasize transparency, natural light, and seamless indoor-outdoor living, TonyView introduces a new design capability that allows architects and builders to rethink how spaces are experienced.
