Tony Hynes Joins Weber Shandwick as Executive Vice President, Technology Practice
SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 9, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Weber Shandwick, a leading global public relations firm, today announced that Tony Hynes is joining the agency as executive vice president in Northern California, starting November 22nd. Hynes will also become part of the firm's technology practice leadership team.
Hynes brings nearly 20 years of experience in technology, as well as corporate reputation, and issues management. He will help lead the technology practice, support major client assignments and drive growth in the region. Hynes will report to Robert Dowling, who leads Weber Shandwick's technology practice in North America.
Prior to joining Weber Shandwick, Hynes was the West Coast general manager of Bite Communications. While there, he managed global technology accounts, including HP and Sun Microsystems, and helped establish Bite's Cleantech practice. Prior to that, he was director of global public relations and corporate communications for Hitachi Data Systems. Additionally, Hynes has experience working globally for both IBM and SAP.
