Tony Hawk's First iPhone Skateboard App, Trick Tips, Reaches #1 Sports App on iTunes App Store
NEW YORK, Jan. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Tony Hawk: Trick Tips, the first iPhone application from skateboarding legend Tony Hawk and leading mobile developer Jirbo/EpicTilt, today reached the number one spot in Top Paid Sports on the iTunes App Store. The app is one of three Tony Hawk partnered with Jirbo/EpicTilt to release.
This entrance into the app sector is in step with Hawk's tech-savvy reputation for bringing his highly coveted skateboarding tips, advice and knowledge to as many of his core fan base as possible. Hawk has been hailed for his creative online interaction with his fan base and this week reached a Twitter following of over 2 million.
"I am thrilled to be able to reach both new riders and loyal fans with these new apps. While I wish I could personally teach everyone who wants to learn. But for now, this is the next best thing," Hawk said.
Tony Hawk: Trick Tips includes text, video and still photos of Hawk giving step-by-step instruction for 50 of the top skateboarding tricks, from basic to advanced. Featured tricks range from Kickflips and Hardflips on the ground to Frontside Crooked Grinds and Backside Tailslides on rails.
