Tonight's Mega Millions Jackpot at $353 Million, Please Play Responsibly
MIDDLETOWN, Pa., March 14, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Pennsylvania Lottery reminds players to play responsibly as tonight's Mega Millions® jackpot has reached an annuity value of $353 million. The cash prize is $194 million.
If won, this could be the Mega Millions game's fifth-largest jackpot and the 12th-largest jackpot hit in North America.
The current Mega Millions jackpot has been growing since Jan. 7. In the Jan. 3 drawing, one Mega Millions ticket sold in Pennsylvania – and purchased with the $1 Megaplier® option – won $5 million.
Pooling ticket purchases with friends can be a fun way to play responsibly. To help players manage their pooled ticket purchases, Pool Play forms for Mega Millions and several other games are available at www.palottery.com.
How to Play Mega Millions: Mega Millions tickets cost $1 per play. Players pick five numbers from 1 to 75 and one number from 1 to 15 (the Mega Ball). Players may select their own numbers using a Mega Millions playslip or they may opt for computer-selected quick picks.
For an extra $1 per play, players can add the Megaplier®. Prior to the Mega Millions drawing, the Megaplier number – ranging from two to five – is randomly selected. The Megaplier applies to non-jackpot prizes.
Mega Millions tickets are sold in 43 states, Washington, D.C. and the U.S. Virgin Islands. In Pennsylvania, tickets are available for sale until 9:59 p.m. on drawing nights, Tuesday and Friday.
