TomoNews Launches TomoTips; Offers $2,000 for Original Viral Video Footage
TAIPEI, Sept. 10, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- TomoNews, the animated news service operated by Next Media Animation, today announced the launch of TomoTips and a $2,000 incentive program to reward original viral video submissions.
TomoNews combines animation with video footage to help viewers visualize and quickly understand headline news events as they unfold. TomoTips will help TomoNews extend its editorial coverage within the US, while giving viewers an opportunity to take part and shape news coverage.
Any footage with a story worth sharing should be submitted. All video footage will go through a stringent vetting process before becoming a part of TomoNews animated news coverage. As an incentive, published videos will be rewarded with a $2,000 USD reward.
The Japanese version of TomoTips was launched in August 2013, the first of its kind in the country. Users can easily submit videos through web and mobile, without having to register for an account.
