FAR HILLS, N.J., Oct. 19, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- If one wanted to know what Tom Maoli's secret to business and entrepreneurial success was, you wouldn't have to look any further than the title of his soon to air radio show, "Go Big or Go Home." Tom Maoli will begin broadcasting his call-in radio show on WABC this Sunday evenings at 7 pm. The hour-long show will give Maoli a golden opportunity to spread his entrepreneurial, business and life style messages to listeners all across the northeast.
Maoli explains why, after years as a successful business leader and entrepreneur, he decided to become a radio personality. "I was approached by WABC to do a radio show. At first, I was unsure, but the more I thought about it, I began to think that with so many young people, not to mention mid-career executives, starting to think about starting their own businesses, the idea of doing a radio show would provide me with an opportunity to reach that audience and tell them about my story and how they can do the same."
Maoli's story is the quintessential American dream. Foregoing college in order to begin his business career right after high school, Maoli's first business, Flash Courier Services, provided 24-hour-a-day messenger services to the legal and financial industries. By the time Maoli sold the business, the company was employing more than 250 drivers. In 1993, Maoli founded Flash Global Logistics Services (FGLS), Inc., a company that went global and distributed just-in-time mission-critical parts to support supply chain continuity for a variety of Fortune 100 companies around the world, including Cisco, General Electric, AOL, Ford, Siemens, Hitachi, Google, Boeing, and Caterpillar, to name a few. With the information technology boom, Flash Logistics grew to more than 750 critical spare parts warehouses globally.
Maoli is a real-estate developer and manager also founded his other company, Real Estate Opportunity Investments, which buys, sells, and develops commercial and residential real-estate. One of Maoli's real estate properties, the Abbey in Morristown, was recently named the designer showcase home for the Women's Association for Morristown Medical Center's bi-annual "Mansions In May," which raised over two million dollars for the medical facility.
Another one of Maoli's noteworthy achievements came in 2011, when he made the leap into automotive retailing, purchasing a struggling Warnock Automotive Group. Making immediate moves to get rid of failing franchises, Maoli retained a Whippany, New Jersey based Lexus dealership, renaming it Lexus of Route 10, and then making it the first of what became Celebrity Motor Car Company. Since then, Maoli has added BMW of Springfield, Maserati of Morris County, Mercedes-Benz of Goldens Bridge, New York, Maserati of Bergen County, and Alfa Romeo of Morris County. His Lexus and BMW dealerships are among the nation's best run dealerships.
"My philosophy has always been to go big or go home," says Maoli, who also partnered with Donald Trump on an annual car show at Trump National Golf Course in Bedminster, New Jersey. "Being an entrepreneur is not for the timid. You have to want it more than anything else, and you have to be prepared to commit totally to it and do it right or don't do it at all. It's 'GO BIG OR GO HOME.' That's what I'll be telling the listeners."
