NEW YORK, Dec. 2, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Scarborough Research, the leading source for local market media and consumer insights, announced today the appointment of Tom Drouillard as president and chief executive officer. Mr. Drouillard will be responsible for the overall leadership of Scarborough and will bring new and transformational solution-based services to Scarborough clients. He will report into the Scarborough Board effective January 1, 2011.

Tom Drouillard comes to Scarborough from Nielsen Online where he has been serving as president since 2008. Mr. Drouillard brings with him many years of experience successfully leading media and marketing companies including: Claritas, PERQ/HCI, Interactive Market Systems, and SRDS.

Mr. Drouillard succeeds Gregg Lindner, Scarborough's executive vice president, who has been overseeing the day-to-day business and operations this past year. In October, the company announced that Bob Cohen, Scarborough's president since 1995, who had been on an extended medical leave, would not be returning to the company. Mr. Lindner will be joining Arbitron as their chief research officer and executive vice president, Service Innovation in January of 2011. In his new role, Mr. Lindner will serve as an Arbitron representative on the Scarborough Board.
