For the 71st year, Fred Jordan Mission will be honoring hundreds of impoverished moms with a delicious luncheon banquet and showering them with free personalized gift bags for them and their children. While moms are enjoying a special day of pampering, their children will be treated to a day of fun and games -- as well as small gifts. Each mom will leave the Mission with fresh flowers, bulging gift bags and food bags.

Dozens of volunteers will honor their own Moms by spending the day showering kindness and attention on these struggling Moms. Come see and hear the challenges of what it means to be a hungry and homeless mother living on Skid Row with her children.

Willie and her late husband Fred Jordan always spent Mother's Day on Skid Row with their seven children, where they all helped some of our neediest neighbors, before enjoying their own family celebrations.
