TODAY: Congresswoman Maxine Waters to Keynote Housing Event at USC with Former HUD Secretary Henry Cisneros
LOS ANGELES, Nov. 4, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Bipartisan Policy Center (BPC) Housing Commission will host Representative Maxine Waters, ranking member of the House Financial Services Committee, at the University of Southern California (USC) for a conversation on the need for robust housing policy reform today beginning at 9:00AM PST/12:00PM EST.
Henry Cisneros, former Secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and co-chair of the BPC Housing Commission, will make opening remarks. National Journal Editorial Director Ronald Brownstein will moderate the keynote.

The public forum will cover future demographic trends impacting housing markets, efforts to link housing and healthcare to serve the most vulnerable populations, access to credit for perspective homebuyers, and efforts to incentivize the adoption of energy efficiency measures in housing. This event is the ninth regional public forum hosted by the BPC Housing Commission after the release of its report, Housing America's Future: New Directions for National Policy, earlier this year.
