TORONTO, July 7, 2014 /CNW/ - TMX Group today announced its financing activity on Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange for June 2014.
Toronto Stock Exchange welcomed 12 new issuers in June 2014, up from 7 in May 2014, and up from 6 in June 2013. The new listings included 2 life sciences companies, 4 structured products, 2 oil & gas companies, 1 exchange traded fund, 1 diversified industries company, 1 technology company and 1 mining company. Total financings raised in June 2014 increased 16% compared to May 2014, and increased 32% compared to June 2013. The total number of financings in June 2014 was 60, up from 52 the previous month, and up from 45 the same month a year earlier.
TSX Venture Exchange welcomed 1 new issuer in June 2014, down from 7 in May 2014, and down from 6 in May 2013. The new listing was a clean technology company. Total financings raised in June 2014 increased 7% from May 2014, and increased 154% from June 2013. There were 114 financings in June 2014 compared to 138 in May 2014 and 121 in June 2013.
Four companies graduated from TSX Venture Exchange to Toronto Stock Exchange during June 2014, up from 3 the previous month, and up from 2 the same month a year earlier.
