TMX Group Equity Financing Statistics - February 2013

TORONTO, March 6, 2013 /CNW/ - TMX Group today announced its financing activity on Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange for February 2013.
Toronto Stock Exchange welcomed 3 new issuers in February 2013, compared to 5 new listings in January 2013 and 15 in February 2012. The new listings include one real estate investment trust, one exchange traded fund and one structured product. Total financings raised increased 153% from the previous month, but was down 70% from the same month a year earlier. The total number of financings was 33, down from 36 the previous month and 71 in February 2012.
TSX Venture Exchange welcomed 3 new issuers in February 2013, compared to 8 the previous month and 20 in February 2012. All 3 new listings are from the Capital Pool Company Program. Total financings raised increased 58% from January 2013 and increased 19% from February 2012. There were 146 financings in February 2013, compared to 176 financings the previous month and 130 the same month last year.
