TORONTO, May 6, 2015 /CNW/ - TMX Group today announced its financing activity on Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange for April 2015.
Toronto Stock Exchange welcomed 8 new issuers in April 2015, compared with 9 in March 2015 and 11 in April 2014. The new listings included 6 exchange-traded funds, 1 diversified industries company and 1 real estate company. Total financings raised in April 2015 decreased 28% compared to the previous month, and increased 131% compared to April 2014. The total number of financings in April 2015 was 59, compared with 64 in the previous month and 50 in April 2014.

TSX Venture Exchange welcomed 5 new issuers in April 2015, compared with 6 in the previous month and 4 in April 2014. The new listings included 2 CPCs, 2 diversified industries companies and 1 real estate company. Total financings raised in April 2015 decreased 24% from the previous month and decreased 76% compared with April 2014. There were 98 financings in April 2015, compared with 111 in the previous month and 167 in April 2014.
