Titan and Sound Transit Join Forces Again
Out-Of-Home Advertising Firm Resumes Partnership with Sound Transit
SEATTLE and NEW YORK, Sept. 18, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- After a competitive process, Titan has been awarded a new 10-year contract for the exclusive rights to transit advertising on behalf of Sound Transit. Titan previously represented Sound Transit from 2006 to 2009 and looks forward to resuming the relationship with the prominent transit agency that serves the people of Central Puget Sound.
Commencing on October 1, 2014, Titan will have exclusive rights to install interior and exterior advertising on the Sound Transit system in various formats, including king- and queen-size posters, full wrap media, interior car cards and specialty graphics. In addition, Titan will have the right to advertise within Sound Transit's Rail and its rolling stock facilities. The scope of the new contract solidifies Titan's Central Puget Sound business for years to come, giving Titan even more access to valuable media within the Sound Transit District.
Sound Transit is the regional transit system of Central Puget Sound. Encompassing 1,080 square miles within the urban parts of King, Pierce and Snohomish counties, the Sound Transit District accounts for 52 cities and nearly 3 million people, which is 40 percent of the state's population. Sound Transit provides Central Puget Sound residents with an impressive fleet of express buses, light-rail lines, and commuter rail services, connecting the major urban centers of Seattle, Everett, Tacoma, and Bellevue as well as dozens of additional cities, communities and neighborhoods.
"We couldn't be happier to begin a new partnership with Sound Transit," said Pamela Quadros, Vice President and General Manager of Titan's Seattle region. "Our impressive portfolio of local transit partnerships is an effective way to reach consumers in the region, and Sound Transit is an essential part of that mix. We are beyond thrilled for the opportunity to grow Sound Transit's inventory of bus, train, light rail and station media."
With the heavy billboard restrictions throughout much the of the Seattle region, Titan's transit media reaches more than 55 percent of Seattle's population, easily dominating the market. Titan plans to expand Sound Transit's advertising inventory with innovative products as well as to find new ways for advertisers to reach desirable consumers. Combined with Titan's other Seattle transit contracts - King County Metro, Pierce Transit and Community Transit - the opportunity to advertise on Sound Transit's assets offers advertisers a powerful way to reach Central Puget Sound consumers.
