Tiny Rebellion Brings Home Gold
Wins At Ad Age's 2014 Small Agency Awards
SANTA MONICA, Calif., July 28, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Tiny Rebellion, the positive change ad agency located in the heart of Silicon Beach, is stoked to announce they took home the Gold Award for Small Agency Of The Year in the 11-75 employee category at the 2014 Ad Age Small Agency Awards in Austin, TX. Forty-two full-time employees service the agency's clients, which include TrueCar, Hotwire and Bolthouse Farms. The award is a nod that a small agency equals a ton of really hard work done by just a few people.
On the heels of the award, Tiny Rebellion CEO, Lucas Donat, said, "Ad Age is such a respected voice in our industry. This marks an important acknowledgement of the hard working, passionate people who are the soul of the agency. Let the rebellion begin!"
The Ad Age Small Agency Awards were launched six years ago to honor and salute outstanding work created by independent shops with 150 or fewer employees. "We were pretty blown away by the incredible talent and powerful ideas coming out of the small agency community," said Abbey Klaassen, associate publisher-editorial and audience, Ad Age. "Their ambition and abilities make these kinds of firms highly attractive to clients seeking creative and agile partners—and to potential acquirers."
Co-founded by Lucas Donat and Amir Haque in 1991, Tiny Rebellion exists to help purpose-led companies emerge as iconic brands who disrupt their industry while positively changing the world—because accountable business is the most powerful force for positive change. The agency has been making big waves in the industry and is proud to be recognized for the important work they do for their clients and the world.
Last month, Tiny Rebellion was featured in the coveted Portrait column of AdWeek, and the agency is looking forward to hosting their Accelerator Day on July 29th—an immersive, first of its kind concepting event centered around this year's Cannes Chimera Initiative in partnership with The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. The event is being held at the Santa Monica Art Studios and is the culmination of a 3-week initiative to create and accelerate ideas that affect positive change for global health through millennials. All normal agency business, including client work, will be put on hold for the day while the agency creates entries for Cannes Chimera, with the agency tapping into the experience and expertise of all levels of the Silicon Beach creative community including clients, vendors, partners and affiliates.
"Our mission is simultaneously both clear and daunting: to exponentially accelerate positive change on planet earth. We think we're making great strides in that direction," said Donat.
