Timney: A New Collaboration With House of Fraser
This season House of Fraser celebrates a new and exclusive design collaboration with renowned designer Sue Timney.
LONDON, June 8, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Best known for her distinctive black and white designs, Sue Timney's work flows effortlessly between fashion and interiors. Her exclusive collection with House of Fraser marks an exciting new chapter in the designer's history, and adds another exclusive label to the department store's ever-expanding portfolio. Streets ahead of other retailers, with a diverse range of fashion, one of the best shoe shops and an assortment of interior and home ware, House of Fraser have everything under one roof.
Timney at House of Fraser encapsulates Sue's iconic designs, with a collection of women's fashion and home product. Graphic and striking, her signature monochrome designs are seen on bed linen, china and home accessories, as well as a capsule collection of swimwear, beachwear and fashion accessories.
Fashion
Eclecticism has become a buzzword for British style and is at the heart of Timney's signature designs. Nowhere is this more evident than across the variety of graphic print silk scarves created exclusively for House of Fraser. The 'Clock Face' design, synonymous with Timney, has been recreated along with a range of beautiful animal and classical prints.
Monochrome stripes and beach-inspired Ammonite patterns appear on a range of beach bags, women's swimwear and small leather accessories. Cosmetic bags and passport holders with subtle interior-trims complement the collection, which includes holiday essentials such as beach towels and 1950s-inspired sunglasses. Matching graphic-print bikinis, swimming costumes and relaxed women's dresses provide elegant and stylish beachwear and cover-up solutions.
Home
With a distinctly neo-Classical feel, the Timney home collection is predominantly black and white. Colour is introduced on a striking 'Menagerie' design which features brightly-coloured exotic animals, on a black and white Rococo-style background. Elsewhere, colour is used to highlight fine bone china, whilst 'Cathedral' features monochrome twisted columns on a contrasting pink background with a stylish black and white stripe rim.
The rest of the collection caters for monochrome purists. Timney's signature 'Regency' stripe livens up homeware, with this iconic detail also forming the background of the chic 'Fleur de Lys' print. A Fornasetti-style cameo embellishment is used on a cushion and cake stand, whilst Timney's iconic 'Clock Face' works perfectly on a cushion and across dinnerware.
