MIDDLEBURY, Conn., March 5, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- TIMEX, a global leader in watchmaking for 165 years, announces its latest collection of men's and women's timepieces for the Spring/Summer 2019 season. Designed at the Giorgio Galli Design Lab in Milan, Italy, these new collections represent Timex's unwavering commitment to crafting quality timepieces since 1854.
"As watchmakers for 165 years, our mission is to bring consistent innovation to the watch category and create timepieces that speak to both modern style and quality," said Silvio Leonardi, Senior Vice President. "Our approach to design is to push the limits of what contemporary watchmaking looks like and create collections that men and women are proud to wear."
The new men's Spring/Summer 2019 collection features pieces that refresh classic Timex collections for the contemporary man and introduce new styles. Highlights include the Allied® LT, a new addition to the Timex military-inspired Allied line, built to withstand modern-day maneuvers. Also, new this season is the Standard Collection, a casual, every-day watch with interchangeable straps and oversized crown that nods to the original Timex pocket watch and deep roots as a watchmaker. To meet the demand of the beloved Marlin® watch, a classic 1960s style now designed with automatic movement, this season brings new exciting colorways, creating a contemporary timepiece with design nods from the past. As Timex continues to invest in its digital portfolio, this season brings the new BST.47 collection, a new design built with I.S.O shock-resistant standards, proprietary digital technology, silicone strap and INDIGLO® backlight.
The Spring/Summer 2019 women's collections offer versatility from an aesthetic perspective, introducing new color varieties to the classic Timex Women's Waterbury and two brand-new lines: Variety™ and Transcend™. Variety, a beautifully designed modern timepiece offers personalization and versatility, with interchangeable top rings and slip-thru straps to mix and match your daily style, while Transcend features an ultra-slim case, mother-of-pearl dial options, minimalist Swarovski® crystal strap details and a mix of color styles, like the popular rose gold.
This season, Timex Archive, a project inspired by our heritage that honors the pioneering craftsman of Timex in 1854, is introducing a new turntable within the existing Pioneers and Metropolis collections dedicated to its best-seller style, the NAVI. The NAVI turntable offers personalization by providing the unique opportunity to mix cases and straps in a variety of styles. Consumers can remix classic watches from the Pioneers, Metropolis and NAVI collections with artfully crafted straps, creating 64 different combinations.
All new collections are available on TIMEX.com ranging from $79 - $249 USD.
