Timex Announces Partnership With Elite Distance Runners Josh Cox And Desi Linden
MIDDLEBURY, Conn., May 28, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Timex, the leader in outdoor and sports timepieces, announced today that elite American runners Josh Cox and Desi (Davila) Linden will join the brand's roster of athlete ambassadors.
Cox, the U.S. 50K record holder and Linden, a 2012 US Olympian, will be integrated into the brand's advertising, PR and social media programs, and product development and testing.

Cox, a competitive long-distance runner for more than 23 years, was the youngest qualifier (age 24) at the 2000 U.S. Olympic Marathon trials and is the American record holder in the 50k with a time of 2:43:45, his 50k performances in 2009 and 2011 were world leading marks. A four-time US Olympic Marathon Trials qualifier and three-time U.S. National Team member, he has also been the top American marathon finisher at the World Track & Field Championships.

Linden led her team at Arizona State University as a two-time All-American in Track and Cross Country. She has been a consistent finisher at the World Marathon Majors with top five

She finished in second place at the 2011 Boston Marathon and set a personal record with her time of 2:22:38, the second fastest time ever run by an American woman in that race. In 2012, Linden represented the United States at the London Olympics.
