"Our guests eagerly await the arrival of Tim Hortons RRRoll Up the Rim to Win contest, and this year we are kicking it off earlier than ever, with even more prizes up for grabs," says Peter Nowlan, Chief Marketing Officer, Tim Hortons. Now in 2015, there are more prizes than the entire population of Canada and our guests can win cars, TVs and millions of other prizes."
This year, to kick off Roll Up season and celebrate that everyone could be a RRRoll Up the Rim to Win winner, Tim Hortons surprised the residents of Windsor, Nova Scotia, by transforming their town overnight into "Winner", Nova Scotia. Windsorites awoke to find "Town of Winner" signs on everything from the local arena and fire station, to stores along the main street. An event was held at Long Pond – considered to be the birthplace of hockey – where Windsorites enjoyed a free community celebration including Tim Hortons coffee and Timbits. A $10,000 donation was made to the town of Windsor to support the creation of an outdoor athletic centre. The experience can be viewed online at www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZfAWj-CrNTE.
