Tim Hortons Launches TimmyMe App for Windows 8 Devices

OAKVILLE, ON, June 19, 2014 /PRNewswire/ - Tim Hortons today announced the launch of the TimmyMe™ App for Windows 8 devices. Unique to the TimmyMe App on Windows 8 phones is the addition of voice recognition software, which allows users to launch the mobile barcode payment screen on their TimmyMe App simply by saying, "TimmyMe Pay." With the adaptation of the TimmyMe App for the Windows platform, Tim Hortons guests now have the option to scan-to-pay for their in-restaurant purchases on all four major mobile platforms, including BlackBerry10, iOS, Android.
Offering a seamless experience across all devices running the Windows 8 system, including notebooks, tablets, and PCs and Windows Phones, the TimmyMe App is packed with features that allow users the convenience of loading and topping-up Tim Cards, finding the nearest Tim Hortons restaurant, and viewing nutritional information on Tim Hortons products. The new voice activation feature makes mobile payment a breeze for Windows users in Tim Hortons restaurants across Canada and the U.S.
