LOS ANGELES, Oct. 11, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Tiltify, the interactive fundraising platform for the digital generation, today announced it is once again teaming up with Activision and popular Call of Duty streamers to support the Call of Duty Endowment, which helps put veterans to work in high-quality jobs.
The #CODNATION Challenge (formerly called the Race to Prestige) livestream marathon kicks off at 9am PDT on Thursday, October 11, providing viewers an opportunity to easily contribute live to the Call of Duty Endowment through the Tiltify platform and watch their contributions add up in real-time. During the three-day event, top gaming personalities Jericho, GoldGlove, VernNotice, and Hutch will reunite to take on the new Call of Duty®: Black Ops 4, giving viewers a sneak peek at the latest installment in the blockbuster series ahead of its official release on Friday, October 12.
The award-winning gaming-for-a-cause program has already raised over half of a million dollars for the Endowment, with a goal of raising another $100,000 this year. Activision Blizzard will once again match up to $500,000 in donations.
"We are extremely proud that our platform has been part of helping the Endowment achieve this level of success for such a great cause," said Tiltify CEO Michael Wasserman. "It's amazing that Activision uses this iconic gaming franchise launch to raise charitable funds. What a great way to kick off a product launch and build rapport with such a captive audience."
"In the first year we switched to Tiltify, donations for The Race jumped six-fold, and the platform has continued to consistently drive outstanding results for this event," said Dan Goldenberg, Executive Director of the Call of Duty Endowment. "Streaming for charity has become one of the most effective ways to engage donors and Tiltify's reliable, real-time platform delivers the unlimited scale and support to make this a marquee event for our organization."
Tiltify's platform integrates seamlessly with Twitch, which hosts the live stream, to provide a secure, interactive platform for contributions. Tiltify lets both donors and gamers see donations live as they come in, offering instant recognition, personal interaction between players and donors, and opportunities to earn tangible rewards for contributions. This real-time interface dramatically increases donor participation and generosity.
"After 5 years and $750,000 raised, I'm excited to see what we can do this year with the help of Tiltify and the Call of Duty Endowment. Tiltify makes it easy for us to set up rewards for those who donate, which drives more donations to our overall cause," said Jericho (real name: Tucker Boner) who, with more than 1 million Twitch followers, was a founding member of The Race in 2012.
Fans will be able to continue contributing to the Call of Duty Endowment via Tiltify as ELEAGUE features the event's top moments in a three-part feature series premiering Friday, October 26, at 11 p.m. ET/ 8 p.m. PT on TBS.
