TIGER 21 Honors Four Non-Profit Organizations in Annual Public Service Announcement Competition
TIGER 21 Members Highlight Philanthropic Ventures to Inspire and Inform Peers
NEW YORK, March 8, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- TIGER 21, the premier peer-to-peer learning network for high-net-worth investors, unveiled the four Non-Profit Organizations honored as its 2016 Public Service Announcement (PSA) Contest award recipients. TIGER 21 Members were asked to spotlight the vital efforts of the various 501(c) non-profit organizations which they have founded and continue to oversee.
Honorees include: Teens in Public Service, an organization which places high-achieving youth in rewarding community service roles; Education for Employment, a network which provides robust career-centric education and creates meaningful employment opportunities for young men and women in the Middle East and North Africa; Steve's Camp at Horizon Farms; an immersive rural camp program which provides underprivileged urban students with the opportunity to work on various facets of their wellbeing and hone their leadership skills; and Invest in Girls, an organization which empowers high school girls by equipping them with financial acumen, connecting them with inspirational female professional mentors and facilitating introductions to reputable financial services companies in order to advance their careers. Visit: tiger21.com/psa to view the PSAs and learn more about the winners.
A panel of TIGER 21 Members served as judges who assessed proposals based upon a number of factors including: the compelling characteristics of each non-profit's vision and mission, Members' level of involvement in establishing and maintaining the organization, and the breadth of its donor base. Once the finalists were chosen, each was asked to create a two-to-three-minute PSA to be unveiled at the Annual Members Conference in early February at the Beverly Hilton.
"We were inspired and encouraged by the scope and strength of the submissions," said Barbara Goodstein, CEO of TIGER 21 Holdings. "Our Members have an established track record of leveraging their financial success and business expertise to launch impactful philanthropic ventures which address a wide variety of social and economic issues. Many assume an active, hands-on role and are passionate about ensuring that their organizations drive positive change for generations to come."
TIGER 21 Members, who comprise some of the most successful entrepreneurs and investors in the world, manage and oversee a wide range of charitable organizations and non-profits. Further information about the contest submissions can be found here.
