CALGARY, Sept. 29, 2011 /PRNewswire/ - On September 22, 2011, The School of Public Policy welcomed British Minister Lord Sassoon, the Commercial Secretary to the Treasury, to a private stakeholder dinner.

The Minister discussed a broad range of topics, including the United Kingdom's economy, fiscal policy in regard to the recession, and the steps the British government is taking to make it easier for companies to do business. He also set out the United Kingdom's long-term business interests in Alberta and explained how Britain is keen to attract further investment and promote trade between the United Kingdom and Canada.
