Tierce Named Greater Boston Association of REALTORS® Affiliate Member of the Year

BOSTON, July 3, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Amy Tierce, Regional Vice President of Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation in Needham, was named the recipient of the Greater Boston Association of REALTORS® (GBAR) Affiliate Member of the Year Award at the Annual Awards Brunch held on June 18, 2013 at The Museum of Science in Boston. Amy has been an Affiliate Member of GBAR since 2011, and has actively supported the Association in many ways since then.

The Affiliate Member of the Year award was created to acknowledge the involvement of industry product and service providers for their active participation in GBAR programs and activities, and for their general support of the association, its mission, and the REALTOR® membership.

Tierce has played a major role in GBAR's relationship with Fairway Independent Mortgage, which has signed on at the highest dollar level as one of the association's year-long Partner Sponsors. Tierce is also very proactive when it comes to bridging the gap between the real estate and lending worlds, and recently sat on an educational panel examining appraisals, financing and marketing of residential property. Amy also helped organize a "B2B Give Back to Boylston" event which provided discounts at Boylston Street restaurants and businesses and in turn Tierce collected receipts from the day and together with Fairway Independent Mortgage matched the dollar amount spent and gave it as a donation to the One Fund Boston.
