SEATTLE, April 23, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Ticketmaster, a Live Nation Entertainment company (NYSE:LYV), announced today the opening of their Seattle office in the Pioneer Square area, the newest software development center in Ticketmaster's portfolio. The Pioneer Square office will work on technology that will change the way fans buy tickets to live events while bringing to life the next generation, service-oriented software stack -- from the ground up. Ticketmaster was recently named to Fast Company's Top 10 Music companies, and is the fourth largest eCommerce platform in the world with 27 million monthly users.
Lead by the accomplished tech veteran duo of Cameron Etezadi, a Seattle native formerly of Amazon and Microsoft, and Werner Koepf, formerly of Amazon and Expedia, Ticketmaster is looking to create a Seattle-based team and is currently hiring Java developers, experienced software testers, and hands-on development managers.
"We have the most challenging eCommerce environment on the planet and our Seattle team will be instrumental in bringing to life our mission of fundamentally changing the way fans will purchase tickets in the future," said Cameron Etezadi, senior vice president, Ticketmaster. "This is a rare and exciting opportunity as our Seattle office will be much like a start-up, developing software with a green-field approach while tapping into an unparalleled industry knowledge base. All this and we get to live our passion in working in the live entertainment industry."
"Ticketmaster is moving to Seattle, like many other California high tech companies, to tap into the excellent local talent pool and we currently have positions for software development engineers, software development engineers in test, software product managers and development managers for qualified people who are passionate about re-engineering the best known platform in entertainment and our industry," said Werner Koepf, vice president of engineering, Ticketmaster.
