TicketCity Launches Smart TicketPredictor for the 2018 Big Game
New TicketCity Smart TicketPredictor for the upcoming Big Game provides sports fans with insights to make confident ticket purchases
AUSTIN, Texas, Jan. 17, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- TicketCity, the largest privately held ticketing company in the world, introduced today it's new Smart TicketPredictor to provide fans with pricing insights and statistical confidence before they purchase tickets to the Big Game taking place on Feb. 4, 2018. In addition to a historical chart of previous ticket prices, the TicketCity Smart TicketPredictor platform also shares the current average cost of tickets for the Big Game, updated on a 24-hour cycle, and whether the price per ticket is likely to rise or fall within the next seven days.
"In today's Experience Era, we know consumers are placing a premium value on positive, reliable and convenient experiences," said Mike Guiffre, vice president of sales of TicketCity. "By introducing our new TicketCity Smart TicketPredictor, our goal is to equip more customers with useful data so they can purchase tickets to the 2018 Big Game and future events with increased shopping confidence and trust to perhaps score a better deal."
The method used for this new feature incorporates analyzed data from every ticket purchased for the Big Game on TicketCity sites and mobile apps over the last five years. Looking at this historical data, inclusive of 2015 when the secondary ticket market was flooded during the Big Game, notable purchasing trends include:
- This year has been the most expensive game for fans, with the average cost of ticket not dropping below $3,900.
- Nearly half of all the tickets for the Big Game are sold during January with as little as seven percent of tickets purchased in February.
- Only about 20 percent of the Big Game tickets are sold before January, when the final attending teams are unknown, with sales starting as early as February of the year prior.
- Typically, the lowest ticket price can be found at the start of the season in August and September.
The TicketCity Smart TicketPredictor feature the 2018 Big Game is available now here. Sports fans can also soon leverage this feature for tracking ticket prices for the upcoming 2018 Masters Golf Tournament and the World Series.
