DALLAS, April 20, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- TI has been recognized as among the world's 100 best corporate citizens by Corporate Responsibility (CR) Magazine, ranking 17th on the magazine's 16th-annual 100 Best Corporate Citizens List.
This is the 13th time the company has received the honor and one of the highest positions that TI has received on the list, up from 31st last year.
"This recognition stems from the ways TI employees put our company's core values into action every day," said Trisha Cunningham, TI's chief citizenship officer. "Whether creating new technology for our customers, making our operations more efficient or mentoring the next generation of STEM innovators, TI employees are truly committed to engineering a better tomorrow. We see the results of their integrity, innovation and commitment throughout our business and communities, and we're proud that our efforts are recognized in this way."
The 100 Best Corporate Citizens List recognizes public companies that had outstanding performance in 2014 in seven areas: environment, climate change, employee relations, human rights, governance, finance and philanthropy.
By reviewing the most influential U.S. public companies drawn from the Russell 1000 Index, the list documents 298 data points of disclosure and performance measures harvested from publicly available information.
The methodology is determined by a Ratings and Rankings Committee of the Corporate Responsibility Officers Association.
The 100 Best Corporate Citizens List was first published in 1999 by Business Ethics Magazine and has been managed by CR Magazine since 2007. The report analyzes data on companies collected from public sources, such as websites and sustainability reports.
TI provides a detailed annual report of its citizenship performance at www.ti.com/ccr and recently launched the company's new citizenship website at www.ti.com/citizenship. TI's 2014 Citizenship Report will be released publicly in coming weeks.
