TI adds Code Composer Studio(TM) tools and new brushed DC motor reference design to Stellaris(R) MCU family support
Code Composer Studio v4 provides a common environment across TI's microcontroller portfolio to simplify development with Eclipse framework
AUSTIN, Texas, March 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Simplifying design through the expansion of its software and tool offering, Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI) (NYSE: TXN) today announced that its Stellaris ARM® Cortex-M3 MCUs are fully supported by the Code Composer Studio (CCStudio) v4 integrated development environment, and eight new Stellaris MCU evaluation kits featuring CCStudio v4 are immediately available in standard distribution. Based on the Eclipse framework, CCStudio v4 is compatible across TI's microcontroller portfolio to provide developers with a single familiar user interface that easily takes them through each step of the application development flow. Stellaris support in CCStudio v4 includes project file support and easy usage of StellarisWare® software for rapid software development. For more information, go to www.ti.com/ccsstellaris-pr.
Additionally, a new Brushed DC Motor Control with CAN Reference Design Kit (RDK-BDC24) and a module (MDL-BDC24) are also immediately available, and improve on previous brushed DC motor designs by providing additional variable speed control capabilities. The kits contain everything needed to get a developer up and running in 10 minutes or less. The open tool kit is designed to jumpstart development in a wide variety of consumer and industrial motion control applications, including factory automation devices and systems, mobile robots, household appliances, pumping and ventilation systems, and electric wheelchairs and mobility devices.
