Thrivent Financial to Sponsor Wounded Warrior Project Events in Jacksonville
WWP Alumni to Enjoy Racing and Baseball with NASCAR Driver
JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Sept. 4, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- NASCAR driver Michael McDowell will join 40 Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP) Alumni for a day of high-speed fun and excitement on Saturday, September 5, 2015, at the Autobahn Indoor Speedway, in Jacksonville, Florida. The service members will challenge McDowell on the track at this private event sponsored by Thrivent Financial, which will also serve as an opportunity for veterans to network and learn more about other free WWP programs and services available to them. The WWP Alumni program creates support through shared experiences and events like this help remind wounded veterans they are not alone.
In addition to the chance to race a NASCAR driver on the track, WWP Alumni will be able to participate in a meet-n-greet with McDowell and his #95 Sprint Cup car, which will be present at the event, providing a fun autograph and photo opportunity..

Later in the evening, more than 70 WWP Alumni and their guests will watch the Jacksonville Suns take on the Mississippi Braves. McDowell will throw out the first pitch of the game. Attendees of the game will also be able to see his car on display outside the stadium.
