Thresher Industries Board of Directors Discusses Sale of Company
HANFORD, Calif., March 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Thresher Industries (Pink Sheets: THRR) announced today that there was a special meeting of the Board of Directors to discuss a Letter of Intent to buy Thresher Industries that was received on March 9, 2010 and the terms of the offer. This offer represents an attractive package with a deal suggested that is significantly above the current market price range. While the Board of Directors came to no final conclusions, the sentiment was very favorable towards the proposal. In deciding whether or not to proceed with the sale, The Board has concluded it needs to consult with its legal council as to whether the Board has the authority to accept the offer; or whether a shareholder meeting must be called to vote on the matter. The company anticipates disclosing the results of the legal council's investigation to be announced on Monday March 15th 2010.
