Three Renowned Artists Present New Exhibitions at the Coral Springs Museum of Art on December 6, 2017
CORAL SPRINGS, Fla., Nov. 20, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The Coral Springs Museum of Art will unveil three new exhibits at an opening reception on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. The main gallery will feature Palm Beach-based artist Judi Regal, the East Gallery will feature Cuban photographer Luis Castañeda, and the Kuhn Gallery will feature Miami artist Daniel Garcia. Guests will enjoy a complimentary sponsored drink by Bacardi as well as a cash wine and beer bar.
"This reception is a wonderful opportunity for the public and our members to interact with the artists and discuss their work with them," said Julia Andrews, Executive Director of the Coral Springs Museum of Art. "They have expressed themselves in distinct and interesting ways through different mediums, and this makes their collections most becoming."
All three exhibits will be on display beginning December 2, 2017.
Judi Regal
Reflections: Past & Present (through March 3, 2018)
Abstract artist Judi Regal works primarily in oils and watercolors. Regal's contemporary work focuses on light, texture and the interplay of color and form. They explore the nexus of representation and abstraction. The "Reflections" series came from looking through her window at a cityscape; she saw reflections of lights bouncing off the panes of glass, depicting the landscape within the sky. Emotions are captured in the emerging squares as they try to hold the memories we reflect upon.
Luis Castañeda
Danzzaria (through March 3, 2018)
Cuban photographer Luis Castañeda has worked in close relationship with the Cuban Ministry of Culture and the Ballet Nacional de Cuba (Cuban National Ballet), for nearly two decades. "Danzzaria" will feature black-and-white photos from the Ballet Nacional de Cuba.
Daniel Garcia
Pa'riba, Pa'bajo, Pal'centro Y Pa'dentro (through December 23, 2017)
Raised in the Wynwood neighborhood of Miami, Garcia can't recall a moment when he has not been creating. His art has been featured in many shows in South Florida and throughout the United States. In Garcia's work, he blurs all the lines created by society and invites you to explore this different, perfectly imperfect world.
