Three Grand Prize Winners Receive a Year's Worth of Groceries in the Hungry Jack® Use Up the Box Recipe Contest

Today, the makers of Hungry Jack® Pancake Mix, Syrup and Mashed Potatoes are pleased to announce the three Grand Prize winners of a year's worth of groceries in the second annual Hungry Jack Use Up the Box Recipe Contest. Hungry Jack teamed up with celebrity Chef Adam Gertler – host of Food Network's "Kid in a Candy Store" – and challenged Americans to create unique recipes using ingredients typically found in their pantries, like Hungry Jack Pancake Mix, Syrup and Instant Mashed Potatoes.

Winners were selected among qualified entries and scored by a panel of judges based on the following criteria: creativity, nutritional balance, taste, appearance and ease of preparation.
Chef Gertler created recipes that incorporated Hungry Jack Pancake Mix, Syrup and Mashed Potatoes to help inspire consumers to use up the box, including Doughnut Bites with Bacon Sugar, Chicken Wings with Sweet Chili Glaze and Beef Stew with Herbed Potato Dumplings.
