Three Customers to Win Free Dickey's Barbecue for One Year

KNIGHTDALE, N.C., Sept. 6, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Dickey's Barbecue will be celebrating its grand opening in Knightdale with a drawing to win free barbecue for a year and $1 pulled pork sandwiches throughout lunch on September 8.

"It's exciting to watch the doors open and bring great barbecue to Knightdale," said Brooks, who will own and operate the franchise location. "The grand opening will be a great way to reach out to the community that has been so supportive through this process."

Dickey's at 2001-C Widewaters Parkway will hold its grand opening from 11-1 p.m. with $1 pulled pork sandwiches and three giveaways for free barbecue for a year.

"This is a great event to celebrate the expansion of Dickey's Barbecue in North Carolina and with three winners of free barbecue for a year, there's sure to be a crowd of barbecue fans!" said Brooks.

This is the seventh location in North Carolina and Brooks signed on to open two more.

Texas-based Dickey's Barbecue Pit opened in 1941 and began franchising in 1994. Dickey's Barbecue Pit is well-known for their hot pit-smoked signature meats, complimentary ice cream and the big yellow cups.

The original Dallas location is still open for business and Dickey's Barbecue Pit is still owned and operated by the Dickey Family.

There are 171 locations in 39 states.

Even today, Dickey's still slow smokes all of their signature meats overnight in every restaurant.
