THE RENAULT TALISMAN SCOOPS MAJOR AWARDS
January 26 - The official awards ceremony of the 31st Festival Automobile International (FAI) in Paris, was a big night for Renault, bringing home three major awards including the 'Most Beautiful Car of the Year - 2015' award for the Renault Talisman.
"I would like to thank all those who voted on the internet for the Renault Talisman, our new large D-segment saloon. The Talisman combines bold, muscular lines consistent with Renault's new brand identity with a unique, unprecedented driving experience thanks to our Multi-Sense and 4Control technologies. Renault is the only manufacturer to offer these technologies at this level of range," underlined Michael van der Sande, Renault's Senior Vice President, Marketing.

The Talisman, Renault's elegant new saloon, features advanced technologies like the Multi-Sense system which allows drivers to choose between five different modes and ambiences. It also coordinates the 4Control system which combines four-wheel steering with electronic damping.
Laurens van den Acker, Renault's Senior Vice-President, Corporate Design, was named winner of the FAI's Design Grand Prix. This prize comes after a particularly exciting year in terms of new models, with the launches of the new Espace, the Kadjar, the Talisman and the new Megane, all of which have been acclaimed for their exterior styling and cabins and part of an initiative to heighten our focus on design across the Renault lineup.
"Awards like this encourage us to continue to pursue our design strategy. Our brand signature - 'Passion for Life' - mirrors the shift in Renault's design thinking which was introduced in 2012. I would like to thank the jury for honouring me with the Design Grand Prix. It's an honour I share with my teams, product managers and engineers. Together, it is these people who help to turn our dreams into reality for Renault customers," said Laurens van den Acker.
Last but not least, Renault was named winner of the festival's Advertising Film category with its 'Make Your Time Great' campaign for the new Espace, starring Kevin Spacey showing how to master time.
"We are extremely proud to have received this award," added Michael van der Sande, Renault's SVP Marketing. "We are very pleased with the success of this campaign which is an eloquent illustration of Renault's ambitious objectives. The new Espace marks a real breakthrough in terms of its styling and concept, so we wanted to reflect this shift in the way we promoted the model at the time of its launch. Kevin Spacey [star of the TV series House of Cards] selects his advertising partnerships with great care, so it was excellent news for us when he agreed to participate in the story we developed for the new Espace. He had an active involvement in the campaign, including interaction with social media fans and followers. The campaign was a big hit with our target audience and is clearly contributing to Espace customer momentum."
The Festival Automobile International continues until January 31 with a display of concept cars open to the public at the Hôtel National des Invalides, Paris.
