ThreatTrack Security Bolsters Executive Team with Veteran Product and Sales Leadership

RESTON, Va., Jan. 8, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- ThreatTrack Security – a leader in cyber threat prevention solutions that substantially change how organizations respond to cyberattacks – today announced two additions to its executive leadership team with the appointments of Usman Choudhary as Senior Vice President and Chief Products Officer (CPO) and John Lyons as Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales.

The additions of Choudhary and Lyons – two proven security industry veterans – position ThreatTrack for strong growth as it accelerates the development and introduction of new advanced threat protection solutions, and expands its global sales and channel operations.

Usman Choudhary, Senior Vice President and Chief Products Officer
As Senior Vice President and Chief Products Officer for ThreatTrack, Choudhary will be responsible for defining and executing the company's product development strategy, and driving new cybersecurity innovations throughout its global research and development organization. He will lead teams responsible for the creation of new advanced threat defense technologies and VIPRE endpoint security solutions based in the company's Northern Virginia, Clearwater, Fla. and Philippines offices.   

Choudhary is an accomplished IT executive with nearly 20 years of leadership experience. Most recently, he was Senior Director of Engineering for NetIQ, where he was responsible for shaping the firm's security strategy and developing solutions for automating insider threat and breach detection for enterprises and Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs). Prior to NetIQ, Choudhary was responsible for developing a broad array of security products as Director of Engineering for Novell and Director of Development for e-Security. Choudhary earned a bachelor's degree from Rutgers.

John Lyons, Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales
As Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales, Lyons will head ThreatTrack's global sales and channel organizations for all product lines, including the company's advanced threat defense solutions ThreatSecure, ThreatAnalyzer and ThreatIQ, as well as its VIPRE endpoint protection and antivirus products. He will lead teams based in the company's Clearwater, Northern Virginia and U.K. offices, as well as its growing field sales organization.

Lyons is an accomplished security and channel sales leader with more than 20 years of experience. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Sales for the Americas at Tenable Network Security, where he helped take that security company from an emerging vendor to a market leader in the vulnerability management sector. Prior to Tenable, Lyons held sales leadership positions with several other security and IT firms, including NetIQ, Seagate Software, VERITAS, Peopleclick and Xerox. He has successfully led sales and channel operations across U.S. commercial and federal sectors, as well as international markets. Lyons earned a bachelor's degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.  

Choudhary and Lyons join a strong executive leadership team of industry veterans at ThreatTrack that also includes Stuart Itkin as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), Stew Curley as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Eric Sites as Chief Technology Officer (CTO).
