CLEARWATER, Fla. and RESTON, Va., April 29, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- ThreatTrack Security today announced the appointment of Gary Benedetti as vice president of worldwide sales. Benedetti has more than a decade of experience leading global sales operations for security vendors trying to stem the data breach epidemic, including his last three positions at Fidelis, Epok and e-Security. He will be based in the company's Washington, D.C. office and will report directly to President and Chief Executive Officer Julian Waits, Sr.
Benedetti has held technology sales leadership positions for more than 25 years at a wide array of software firms. Before stepping into his roles with security companies, Benedetti managed regional and U.S. sales for Netscape and AOL, respectively. Throughout his career, he has worked extensively with the federal and enterprise IT market, and he has experience with all aspects of building and executing successful sales and channel strategies.
"Gary has been a key driver of strong revenue growth at several very successful security companies, devising winning sales strategies to capitalize on the strong demand for a new generation of security solutions," said Waits. "His years of experience, especially within the federal, large enterprise and channel communities, are extremely valuable as we continue to expand the worldwide sales of our advanced threat defense solutions, including the recently introduced ThreatSecure."
Prior to joining ThreatTrack Security, Benedetti served as vice president of worldwide sales for Fidelis Security Systems, where he helped government, military, and commercial enterprise customers implement security strategies that enabled them to leverage sensitive information while protecting it from data leakage and cyber-attacks.
"ThreatTrack Security is in a unique position of being able to combine its years of experience combating malware with its proven technologies to bring to market a solution that is tailor made for any enterprise or organization struggling against today's threat landscape," said Benedetti. "The advanced threat protection market is one of the hottest and most important in the world right now, and I look forward to working closely with the management team to continue pushing the envelope and arming our customers and partners with the tools they need to combat emerging cyber threats."
