Thousands of School Choice Supporters to Rally at South Carolina Capitol Building
Over 2,000 students, teachers, community members to attend
COLUMBIA, S.C., Jan. 16, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Thousands of South Carolinians will celebrate National School Choice Week on Wednesday, Jan. 23. There will be a large march of students, teachers, families and advocates through downtown Columbia that concludes with a large rally outside of the South Carolina Statehouse to celebrate all school choice options in the Palmetto State.
The attendees will all meet at the Columbus South Carolina Metropolitan Convention Center at 10:00 AM and will begin the march to the Statehouse at 11:15 AM. The rally at the Statehouse will begin at approximately 11:45 AM and will highlight the importance of school choice in South Carolina.
This event is planned to coincide with the history-making celebration of National School Choice Week 2019, which will feature more than 40,000 school choice events across all 50 states.
