Thousands of Conservative Activists to Gather in Dallas for FreePAC
Largest gathering of grassroots activists since 2010 Taxpayer March on Washington will hear from movement leaders as they strategize for 2012 elections
WASHINGTON, July 17, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Thousands of grassroots conservative activists will gather at American Airlines Center in Dallas on July 26 for the first annual FreePAC, organizer FreedomWorks announced today. Tea Party activists, politicians and pundits will look ahead to the November elections as they create a blueprint for continuing the Hostile Takeover of Washington, D.C., that began during the 2010 mid-term elections.
Attendees will hear from an impressive lineup of speakers, including media entrepreneur Glenn Beck and Tea Party-favorite Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah). Texas U.S. Senate hopeful Ted Cruz will discuss the upcoming Republican run-off, and Indiana U.S. Senate candidate Richard Mourdock will share insights into his primary defeat of incumbent Sen. Richard Lugar and the upcoming general election in Indiana. Former U.S. House Majority Leader and FreedomWorks Chairman Dick Armey and FreedomWorks President and CEO Matt Kibbe will also speak.
"By employing the strategy of 'winning by building, building by winning,' the Tea Party movement has grown from a simple protest movement to a burgeoning political machine," said Kibbe, best-selling author of the new book Hostile Takeover: Resisting Centralized Government's Stranglehold on America. "It has translated grassroots efforts into quantifiable results, causing upset wins in several states and successfully electing candidates who are committed to the principles of lower taxes, less government, and more freedom. FreePAC is an important momentum-builder as we head into November with eyes on regaining a majority in the Senate and restoring fiscal responsibility to Washington."
FreePac is expected to be the largest gathering of grassroots activists since the 9/12 Taxpayer March on Washington in 2010. In addition to hearing from some of the most respected leaders in the conservative movement, activists will have a chance to learn about emerging technologies, legislative tactics, and grassroots strategies needed to take back America from the political establishment and institute a strong conservative agenda.
FreedomWorks is a grassroots service center serving more than 1.8 million members nationwide, committed to advancing the principles of lower taxes, less government, and more economic freedom. For more information about FreedomWorks or FreePAC, visit the FreedomWorks website at www.freedomworks.org.
