ThoughtWorks to Present at SXSW Interactive Festival

AUSTIN, Texas, March 8, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Blacks in Technology (BiT), in conjunction with South By Southwest (SXSW) Interactive Festival, is proud to present ThoughtWorks CTO Rebecca Parsons along with ThoughtWorkers Damilola Olutayo and Montra Ellis, and Toby Shapshak as Featured Panelists on Saturday, March 9th from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

The topic, entitled "Frugal Innovation: The Challenges and Opportunities of Technology in Africa" will address how ThoughtWorks is using frugal innovation principles in investing in Africa, using a combination of disruptive thinking along with empowering technology to impact the country's people and businesses.

SXSW is among the World's Largest Showcase of Top Innovators, Entrepreneurs, Educators, Filmmakers and Musicians. "We are excited to be participating in SXSW along with BiT this year," states ThoughtWorks CTO Rebecca Parsons. "We are passionate about promoting diversity in IT.
