New Features in Mingle 3.2 include:
- Rich Help Content Embedded - new instructional videos and Help content allow users to gain a better understanding of common Agile concepts and best practices while using Mingle. This enriched and deeper Help extends beyond basic feature descriptions, providing detailed explanations and instructional videos on setting up projects and team activities, such as retrospectives and stand-ups, prioritizing, estimation and planning, workflows, story, defect and feature tracking, reporting and much more. Additionally, in-context Help provides visual cues about what users are seeing on a particular screen and what they can accomplish in that view.
- Daily Historical Reporting - new Daily History Chart capabilities extend reporting to include a project's automatically-generated historical data. It allows users to objectively report on and track any card data over time. Reports can be created, such as burn-up and burn-down charts that show changes in scope and work completed during a specific time period that are based on actual historical data.
- Mingle Help with Google® Site Search - users of Mingle online Help can find content faster using Google's powerful site search engine.
- Mingle SCM plugin open sourced - ThoughtWorks Studios has documented the API for building new SCM (Source Control Management systems) integrations with Mingle; and open sourced the code for the existing Mingle-to-Mercurial plugin to serve as a reference implementation. The code and documentation that shows how to write an SCM plugin for Mingle are now available via the Mingle Community website at (http://community.thoughtworks.com/posts/4e2debf8a5).
