Initiative streamlines Open Access publishing workflows for scholarly journals

PHILADELPHIA, Oct. 13, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The Intellectual Property and Science business of Thomson Reuters, the world's leading provider of intelligent information for businesses and professionals, today announced a collaboration with Copyright Clearance Center (CCC), a global licensing and content solutions organization, to streamline the Open Access publishing workflow with an integrated solution for article processing charges (APCs) through ScholarOne^TM Manuscripts, the premier journal and peer review tool for scholarly publishers and societies.

CCC's RightsLink^® for Open Access will integrate into ScholarOne Manuscripts, providing authors with a secure, end-to-end solution for Open Access article submission and peer review, including the management of APCs. Historically, APC fee processing has been a cumbersome, manual and costly part of the Open Access publishing process.
