Thompson & Knight Expands Corporate and Securities Practice; Strengthens Mexico Presence

DALLAS, Dec. 10, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Thompson & Knight LLP today announced Alejandro F. Sánchez Mújica and Alejandro A. Sánchez-Mújica A. have rejoined the Firm as Senior Counsel and Counsel, respectively, in the Corporate and Securities Practice Group of the Firm's Monterrey office.

Alejandro F. Sánchez Mújica's practice encompasses banking, restructurings, foreign investment, mergers and acquisitions, licensing, franchises, stock exchange, antitrust, and private investment funds.  Prior to joining Thompson & Knight, he most recently served as Executive Vice President and Legal Counsel at VITRO, S.A.B. DE C.V., one of the world's leading glass producers. He has also served for more than 10 years as in-house counsel for a large Mexican conglomerate involved in the insurance, agrobiotechnology, telemarketing, financing, and construction areas; and for more than seven years as in-house counsel for another large public Mexican corporation involved in the petrochemical, pharmaceutical, agribusiness, and pharmochemical industries. He is licensed to practice law in Mexico and is fluent in English and Spanish.

Alejandro A. Sánchez-Mújica A. routinely serves as legal advisor on corporate matters in the areas of foreign investment, corporate and securities, technology transfers, licensing agreements, and intellectual property, including matters involving trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, and patents. He is licensed to practice law in Mexico and New York and is fluent in English and Spanish.

Immediately prior to joining the Firm, both attorneys practiced law at Riviera Gaxiola y Carrasco y Carrasco y Sánchez Mújica.
