Thomas R. Robinson Joins The American College of Financial Services Board of Trustees
BRYN MAWR, Pa., Feb. 28, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Thomas R. Robinson, Ph.D., CPA®, CFP®, CFA®, CAIA®, was elected in January 2017 to the Board of Trustees of The American College of Financial Services. Beginning his first term of office, Robinson joins two key committees of the board: Educational Policy and Finance.
Tom Robinson is President and CEO of AACSB International, the largest global association of leaders in education and business dedicated to connecting students and academe with practice while advancing quality worldwide. In his leadership role, he works with the organization's board and global network of staff, members and volunteers to foster engagement, accelerate innovation and amplify the positive impact of business education on society at large.
Prior to joining AACSB, Robinson served as Managing Director of the Americas at the CFA Institute. There he led a cross-functional team that participated in developing education and engagement strategies for the Americas Region. He also provided vision and leadership for a global team that produced and delivered educational content and programs for candidates, members, investment professionals and universities.
Robinson also previously served as a tenured faculty member and director of the Master of Professional Accounting and Personal Financial Planning programs at the University of Miami. Throughout his academic career, Robinson won several teaching awards, published regularly in academic and professional journals and authored or co-authored many books.
