Thomas J. Henry Representing Family of Man Mistakenly Shot by San Antonio Police While Holding a Cell Phone

SAN ANTONIO, Feb. 8, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Thomas J. Henry Injury Attorneys is representing the family of Antronie Scott, a 36-year-old man who was fatally shot by a San Antonio police officer Thursday evening at the Wood Hollow Apartments on the north side.  Police say the officer who shot him mistook Scott's cell phone for a gun.

The victim's family retained Thomas J. Henry to investigate the shooting death.

"To say this is disappointing is an understatement. This has become a serious concern in San Antonio," the family's attorney Thomas J. Henry stated. "My firm is now representing the families of two victims who died unnecessarily at the hands of law enforcement agents."

According to police there is audio recording of the incident captured from an officer's patrol car.

"We will make sure all evidence gathered in this case is properly preserved. We also plan to file an audit in order to protect the rights of the victim and his family," Thomas J. Henry stated.
