Westerville Orthopaedic Surgeon to Serve Leading Foot and Ankle Society
ROSEMONT, Ill., Aug. 7, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Thomas H. Lee, MD, of the Orthopedic Foot & Ankle Center in Westerville, Ohio, has been named secretary of the 2,027-member American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society (AOFAS). Lee will focus his two-year term supporting the global mission of the AOFAS, whose members specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the musculoskeletal system of the foot and ankle.

Lee earned his medical degree from the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York. He performed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the New York Orthopaedic Hospital at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center, New York, and completed an orthopaedic foot and ankle surgery fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia.
In addition to serving on and chairing AOFAS committees, Lee has served as president of the Society's Outreach & Education Fund (OEF). He also has participated in several humanitarian outreach projects to Afghanistan, Haiti, Pakistan and Vietnam.
