The projects will be selected by an esteemed council, featuring Mollie Chen (Co-Founder, Birchbox), Tiffany Yannetta (Shopping Director, Racked at VOX Media), Kashem Miah (Global Digital, Community at Shutterstock), Barbara Torasso (Global Retailer Relations, Capsule Show), Zuleika Sgro (VP Retail, Saje) and Nasrene Haj (Co-Founder at The Creators Collective).
Finding affordable space is often an insurmountable blocker for creatives and brands to realizing their goals and growing their businesses. According to a recent report by the Real Estate Board of New York, a 1000 square foot retail space in the sought after SoHo corridor could average $67.6K per month in rent. thisopenspace's 'Space Fund' was created to give New York City's most talented ideamakers access to premium short-term space at no cost to help bring their ideas into the spotlight.

How It Works
Starting August 16 until September 15, brands and creators can apply for the Space Fund at thisopenspace.com/spacefund. 30 concepts will be selected by thisopenspace's creative council and will be announced the week of September 19th. Selected concepts will launch in multiple spaces across New York City until the end of 2017.
