This Saturday's Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Workshop Features Pro Players & Coaches, Olympic Development Staff, Clinics, Games & More
DOWNINGTOWN, Pa., March 4 /PRNewswire/ -- The 24th annual Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Association (EPYSA) Workshop is set for Saturday, March 6th at the United Sports Training Center in Downingtown, PA, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
EPYSA has promoted, fostered and perpetuated the game of soccer to the youth of Pennsylvania from Fulton County to the West, to Tioga, Bradford, and Susquehanna County to the North, the Philadelphia region and beyond for over 35 years. The Youth Soccer Workshop aids youth soccer coaches, administrators, and parents in coaching and developing young soccer players.
Registration is available online prior to the event at http://www.epysa.org/coachesworkshop.shtml for $10. Day-of-the-event registration on-site is $15.
Events include coaching clinics featuring Olympic Development Program staff; EPYSA Director of Coaching Mike Barr; Paul Riley, Head Coach of the Philadelphia Independence; Drexel University assistant women's soccer coach Don Overmier; West Chester University men's soccer head coach Kendall Walkes; University of Pennsylvania women's soccer head coach Darren Ambrose; as well as other coaches and players from the region.
A vendor show features the latest in soccer gear and technology; games and prizes for children in the new "Kick Zone"; an autograph session and on-field demonstration with Philadelphia Independence players; and a question & answer session with Philadelphia Union CEO Nick Sakiewicz.
All sessions will be held at the United Sports Training Center, located in Downingtown, PA.
