LOS ANGELES, June 4, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The thinkLA IDEA Awards Gala presented by NBCUniversal will take place tonight, June 4th, 6pm to midnight at the Beverly Hilton International Ballroom. The awards are a celebration of creativity in the LA advertising and marketing industry in three categories: Campaign, Company and Individual Achievements. The theme of the evening is "What if we..." Every cutting-edge innovation, groundbreaking achievement, and astounding execution starts with those three words. This year, what if we... ceLAbrated creativity at the IDEA Awards Gala?
The evening will begin with a cocktail reception, followed by dinner, awards show, and then a private pool-side after party. The host for the evening will be actor Josh Peck, and over 1,000 people from the greater LA marketing community will be in attendance. Celebrating a booming production, marketing and advertising industry with prominently held accounts in the auto and entertainment space, this awards show recognizes Southern California's advertising and marketing superstars.
Submissions were accepted for work produced by and/or for a Southern California-based company and presented to the public in calendar year 2014. Campaign Achievement Awards recognize the best social, mobile, video, visual, innovator and campaign of the year. The submissions were judged by a high-profile panel of advertising executives outside of the LA market. The Company and Individual categories give awards to those who have demonstrated consistent dedication and innovation to the advertising and marketing industry. The Campaign and Company submissions were judged by a high-profile panel of advertising executives outside of the LA market; the Company and Individual awards were voted on by the Southern California community.
For the second year in a row, billboards were created and placed around town to promote the IDEA Awards. All of the creative for the Awards - from promotional collateral to program design - was produced by this year's partner, RPA. The agency handles advertising for some of the biggest brands, such as Honda, Farmers Insurance, Tempur+Sealy and more.
The event is sold out, but there will be a live twitter feed (#thinkAwards). An event recap page will go live on Friday afternoon with the full list of winners, event sponsors and more.
