ThinkLA Celebrated LA's Big Ideas At 2017 IDEA Awards Gala
LA's premier trade association partnered with Walton Isaacson and Grindr to introduce the 'Big Ideas' of the previous year, showcasing the results of advertising's greatest minds
LOS ANGELES, June 2, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- More than 1,000 of Los Angeles' biggest thinkers in advertising gathered in the Beverly Hilton International Ballroom for the seventh annual ThinkLA IDEA Awards Gala last night to celebrate advertising's greatest people, work and companies in Los Angeles in 2016.
Presenting sponsor, Grindr, the world's largest gay social network app and content company, set the tone with an elegant party atmosphere featuring drag queens, synchronized swimmers, and glitter galore!
The awards, which recognized Southern California's most illuminated creative and tech-savvy brains, was produced by creative partner Walton Isaacson, the L.A.-based creative agency, and ThinkLA, the nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering Los Angeles' media, marketing, and advertising communities.
The evening's events included a cocktail reception and dinner followed by the awards gala and after-party. During the gala, hosts Us the Duo and other presenters bestowed agencies, brands, and individuals with Achievement Awards for the best annual campaigns, companies, and individuals. Submissions, which were produced by and/or for Southern California-based companies and launched in the 2016 calendar year, were judged by the highest powers of advertising, brand, and tech executives outside of the L.A. market.
The sold-out event is recapped with photos, and a video will be produced in the coming week.
